Double Mixing Principle

TideCell Mixer, a brilliant idea of enhancing mixing and heating efficiency by combining external and internal mixing that could take good care of  both micro and macro mixing effect during the process.  A direct heating that could control the temperature to the right set point during short period of time and eliminate the time consuming and inconsistency during temperature rising or lowering.

  •    Monitoring probes, including pH, DO, temperature, leakage sensors, and load cells are equipped.
  •    Reduce contamination risks of medium homogenization by contact-free pump based on magnetic levitation.
  •    The open-side feature allows easy installation and disassembly of the mixing bag, eliminating turnaround time.
 
The TideCell Mixing System is design to provide sterile and efficient homogenization of the external medium supply for the cell culture bioreactor. Choices of 50 L, 100 L, 200 L, 500 L to 1,000 L single-use mixing bags enables flexible applications for process development and vaccine production.
 
In many of the commercial mixer designs, inconveniences often come from installing the mixing bag from the top entry and hooking shaft of the impeller while carefully orienting the shaft and bag ports. Heating / cooling efficiency of traditional water jackets is also low, taking longer time for temperature equilibrium and the operation turnaround. TideCell Mixing System eases the settlement of the mixing bag by both side doors and large port windows. After the run, simply harvest the products, cut welded C-flex tubing, drag out the bag, and proceed to the next. In addition, the mixing bag, with bearingless, magnetic pump, ensures efficient, low-shear stress, and foam-free mass transfer. This feature, combined with a sterile medium supply chamber, help maintain pH/nutrient consistency from one cell batch to the next.
 
With consistent vessel geometries, TideCell Mixing System allows reproducible single-use mixing of a wide range of volumes, and fits TideCell series bioreactors.

Principle:
The core of the TideCell Mixing System, bearingless pump, is based on the magnetic levitation. The impeller of the pump is pre-installed in a sealed casing, held and driven by the magnetic force, where the induced thrust acts in just one direction.
 
Performance:
The TideCell Mixing System provides efficient homogenization in a small foot print with low shear forces, reduced risk of contamination, and no particle generation. The technology of the pump has been proven in the medical and semiconductor industries.
