BioNOC II are the matrices for the growth of most anchorage dependent cells such as animal, mammalian, and insect cells in both serum-containing and serum-free media. With high S/V ratio (~160 cm-1) and great hydrophicility, BioNOCII enables cells to grow in 2D monolayer, or even in 3D mode, in a batch or perfusion culture type. In addition, cells can be easily sampled and examined for morphology and viability.

BioNOC II is ideally suited for BelloCell and TideCell bioreactors at a large scale with a relatively small footprint, and also supports other pack-bed bioreactors. It have been used for a variety of cell strains in either research or production application.

Principle:
 
BioNOC II matrices are made from non-woven fabric composed of 100% PET filament according to cGMP guidelines. The fabric is specifically surface-treated to be hydrophilic and biocompatible. Homogeneous filament and high porosity / hydrophicility ensure the sufficient exchange of O2/CO2 and nutrient/waste, as well as improve the balanced growth of cells in the 3D folded matrices.
